Heather, the visionary behind Heather Gardens, serves as the garden designer, consultant, and the plant whisperer of the team. With a lifelong love for plants and a deep connection to the natural landscapes of Western Massachusetts, Heather’s journey into gardening began in childhood. Her passion for ecology led her to study botany, ecology, and regenerative systems at the College of the Atlantic, where she earned a BA in Human Ecology in 2012.

Heather’s organic approach and ecological perspective have been shaped by her diverse experiences on farms around the world, from Navdanya Farm in India to Sweet Pea Farm in Bar Harbor, and Seeds of Solidarity Farm in Orange to Chicken Feather Farm in New Braintree.

Heather is dedicated to continuous learning and is always seeking to expand her horticultural knowledge. When she’s not working, you’ll find her taking classes, reading plant books, mentoring with experts, photographing flowers and bees, or tending to her own gardens. In the winter season, she channels her love for plants into crafting dried florals into everlasting wreaths through her side business, Blossom & Seed.

Heather has been gardening professionally for over 15 years and launched Heather Gardens in 2017. Since then, she has grown the business and welcomed fine gardeners to the team who share her passion for plants, ecological mindset, and commitment to exceptional garden care. Our team is detail-oriented, efficient, and professional in our approach, ensuring that your garden receives the highest standard of horticultural care.
